What should I wear for class? Please wear whatever is comfortable to move and dance in, and makes you feel your best! Bring layers as there may be pockets of time where you are watching other dancers and you don’t want your body to get cold. Sometimes we do floor work so a pair of knee pads is helpful, but we will provide modifications if needed. Foot wear is usually bare feet, socks, jazz shoe, sneaker, or heels. We will specify if we are doing a Heels class, in which case dance heels are preferred over street shoe heels because they allow for flexibility and have different soles that allow you to turn but not slip.

Is there an upper age limit?Nope! Right now our workshops and masterclasses are 18+. Our video feedback and UPlevel sessions are open to all ages!

What level of dancer comes to class? All levels are so very welcome.

I haven't danced in a while, can I still come to class?Absolutely! Our students come to us at different stages of movement and ability, but the key is to MOVE! Because there are two of us present at each event, it also allows more personalized attention to our students, which can be beneficial to beginner students. As long as you come with an open mind and heart, there is no doubt that you will soar.

What's the difference between a Workshop and a Master Class?A Workshop is longer and goes deeper into the emotional connection to the choreography. Beyond just warm up and choreo, we guide you through exercises to help you find your voice while dancing the choreography, so the movement is authentic to you. You also are given the choreography in advance so that you have a time to get it into your body more automatically and thus let go more into your personal story. A personalized video of your dancing and written feedback are also included in these experiences. A Master Class is shorter, and just the song choice is given in advance. You will be given lots of time to learn the choreography and run it many times to practice the skill of getting the movement into your body. Master Classes are extended dance classes to allow for ample time to ‘master’ the class.

I take dance classes already. What's the difference between AC classes and regular dance classes? We do not offer regular 60-90 min dance classes. While we highly encourage you to take regular 60-90 min dance classes for consistency and fitness, our classes are longer and more in depth than weekly classes and are the perfect adjunct to your consistent dance schedule to take your dancing to another level.
